The aroma of this delicious sweet bread baking in the oven is amazing! This has been a family and friend favorite for years. Enjoy!
Makes 1 loaf.
- 2 eggs beaten
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ½ cup chunky peanut butter
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- 2 large ripe bananas (with brown spots on peel)
- 1 ½ cup flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Pre-heat oven to 325°. Grease a 4×8 loaf pan.
Beat egg, vegetable oil, sugars, vanilla, and peanut butter until completely mixed. Add banana and chocolate chips, and mix.
In another bowl combine dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to egg and sugar mixture a little at a time until well mixed. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake about 45 minutes or until top of loaf is light golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for about 10 minutes before slicing, or removing from pan.
